Indie "Pioneer" Tobi Pagach '90 Joins New Normal Music

August 17, 2010

100008August 17, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Tobi Pagach, a 1990 DePauw University known professionally by her first name, is joining a new online music venture, New Normal Music, where she will be a midday on-air personality and overseeing artist relations.  Formerly the afternoon host and program director for satellite radio's XMU (which aired on XM and, later, Sirius), she'll begin her new duties on August 23.

"Tobi is one of the pioneers of indie/college/alternative music as a radio format," says New Normal's Tom Leykis. "I can't believe that she will be doing middays and handling artist relations for New Normal Music."

Tobi -- who was a communication major and a director of student radio station WGRE at DePauw -- states, "I love new, indie music like peanut butter loves jelly and all I wanted to do was find an outlet where I could once again help introduce amazing new bands to my listeners by celebrating their music with vim and 5792vigor." She adds, "I just moved back to Los Angeles to find my next great new music adventure and I think that New Normal Music is a dream come true."
