September 21, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — "I would go back to DePauw in a heartbeat," says Janie Hodgkinson, a 2002 graduate of the University. An article details her "glory days" at Lake Forest High School in Illinois, where she is the all-time top scorer in women's basketball and played volleyball "and moved on to very successful run in that sport at DePauw University. She’s now a teacher at Lake Forest Country Day School."
The story points out, "Volleyball seemed to work out for Hodgkinson at DePauw. She was the program’s first All-American and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2001."
"I loved my college experience, and volleyball had a lot to do with it. I love those girls," says Hodgkinson. "My teammates were the best. We had so much together, both on and off the court."
