DePauw Stays Perfect in NCAC with 3-1 Win over Hiram

September 24, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw scored three second-half goals and rallied for a 3-1 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Hiram. The Tigers improved to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC, while the Terriers dropped to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the NCAC.

Hiram took a 1-0 lead just 5:43 into the contest on Ernestina Zappa's goal.

Angela Cotherman knotted the score at 52:41 on an assist from Alex Ehr. Cotherman's second goal at 73:32 came on Kelly Reeves' assist and gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead. Ehr made it 3-1 on Christy Fillenwarth's assist at 84:20.

DePauw outshot Hiram 24-3 and held an 8-0 edge in corners. Caroline Kerr totaled one save in the win and Kate Valaitis had 12 for the Terriers.

The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, September 27, at Earlham.
