Tigers Extend Win Streak to Seven and Remain Unbeaten in NCAC

September 28, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Visiting Wittenberg scored in the opening seven minutes, but DePauw scored four goals in a 12-minute stretch of the first half and claimed a 5-1 North Coast Athletic Conference victory.

DePauw improved to 7-1 overall with its seventh straight win and stayed perfect in the NCAC at 6-0. Wittenberg dropped to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

Beth Warning's unassisted goal at 6:36 gave Wittenberg a 1-0 lead, but DePauw's Clarke Brennan countered at 14:26 on Kimberly Trainor's assist. Just 1:20 later Margaret Ellis added an unassisted score and she tacked on another at 23:41. Trainor rounded out the first-half scoring at 26:31 on Paige Henry's assist. Henry scored at 41:00 to round out the scoring.

DePauw held a 25-2 edge in shots and led in corners, 12-5. Maggie Steele totaled one save for DePauw and Jenny Schaafsma had 17 for Wittenberg.
