DePauw Drops First Conference Contest at Kenyon

October 1, 2011, Gambier, Ohio — Host Kenyon scored twice in the first half and held on for a 3-1 North Coast Athletic Conference win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in the NCAC, while the Ladies improved to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Becca Romaine scored the first of her three goals at 20:09 on an assist from Caddie Durrett and added the second at 25:49. DePauw's Emily White cut into the Kenyon lead at 60:17 on Angela Cotherman's assist before Romaine rounded out the scoring just 1:42 later on Caddie Durrett's assist.

DePauw held a 13-12 advantage in shots and Kenyon led in corners, 4-2. The Tigers' Caroline Kerr totaled three saves and Lauren Wolfe had three for the Ladies.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, October 5, when they host Wheaton (Ill.) at 7 p.m.
