DePauw Collects 12th Straight Win

October 15, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Host DePauw needed just 2:30 to score what would be the eventual game-winning goal in a 4-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over Wooster. The Tigers improved to 12-1 overall with their 12th straight win, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 7-9 overall and 6-6 in conference play.
Kimberly Trainor gave the Tigers the early lead with an unassisted goal at 2:30 before Bridgette Shamleffer (pictured) scored twice in the half with the first coming on Paige Henry's assist. Margaret Ellis' goal early in the second half wrapped up the scoring.
DePaw held a 15-3 edge in shots and an 8-5 margin in corners. Maggie Steele recorded one save in posting the shutout for the Tigers, while Magalyn Myers had four saves in the first half for Wooster and Liz Plumley had one in the second.
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, October 16, when they host Kenyon in a 1 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference contest.
