DePauw Wins 15th Straight; Posts Seventh Consecutive Shutout

October 22, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Margaret Ellis scored a hat trick and the Tigers improved to 15-1 overall and 12-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference following a 6-0 win over Oberlin. The Yeowomen dropped to 6-10 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
Paige Henry and Maggie Campbeel each scored unassisted, first-half goals before Ellis delivered three straight in a 15-minute stretch of the second half. Bridgette Shamleffer added the final score with just under eight minutes left. Campbell and Chelsea Cutler had assists.
DePauw held a 40-3 advantage in shots and a 20-3 margin in corners. Maggie Steele totaled two saves as the Tigers posted their 11th shutout of the season and seventh straight. Kiran Puri totaled 22 stops for Oberlin.
The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, October 26, when they travel to Wittenberg for a 5 p.m. NCAC contest.
