October 24, 2011
October 24, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — "This program will provide an instant gift opportunity for not only the collegiate sports fan, but also for alumni or parents who have children attending a university," says Rob Apatoff, president of FTD, of his company's new College Rose Collection. It offers "special arrangements of roses that are spectacularly and uniquely bi-colored to match school colors, complemented with a colored keepsake vase etched with the school's logo," notes an announcement. "The flowers and vase are carefully wrapped and arrive in a special gift box bearing school colors and logo."
Apatoff, a 1980 graduate of DePauw University and a member of the Board of Visitors, adds, "This FTD College Rose Collection is perfect for any school-centered event, including tailgating, homecoming, and graduations. These arrangements truly capture the loyalty and passion of college sports."
