#10 DePauw in Third-Place with One Day Left at NCAC Championships

DAY ONE RECAP 

Canton, Ohio - After the second full day of the 2012 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, the 10th-ranked DePauw women have totaled 673 points and are in third place. Denison leads with 1,205 points followed by Kenyon with 1,087.

DePauw's 200-yard medley relay of Alex Alfonso, Matt Kukurugya, Matt Gleason and Joe Hessburg was third in and NCAA "B" time of 1:32.23, while the 800 freestyle relay of John Montgomery, Casey Hooker, Matt Haeske and Robby Spichiger was second in a school record and NCAA "B: time of 6:45.14.

Jordan Bantista was 11th in the 400 individual medley in 4:12.70, while Dylan Klossner was 14th in 4:15.88. Gleason was fifth in the 100 butterfly in an NCAA "B" time of 49.86 seconds, Alfonso  was 11th in the 100 fly in 51,36 seconds after a 51.22 time in the prelims and Matt Bacinich was 13th in 51.72 seconds.

Hooker was third in the 200 free in an NCAA "B" time of 1:40.47, while Haeske was 10th in 1:42.05 and Jack Burgeson was 13th in 1:46.50.

Kukurugya was fifth in the 100 breast in an NCAA "B: time of of 57.54 seconds after swimming a 57.50 in the prelims. Hessburg was 13th in 59.05 seconds. Cameron Wiethoff was 13th in the 100 backstroke in 52.86 seconds.
