Aldrich and Huffman Take Top NCAC Honors; Tigers Place Four on All-Conference Squad

Greencastle, Ind. - After leading DePauw to both the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, head coach Kris Huffman and senior forward Katie Aldrich earned the conference's top honors in voting by head coaches.
Aldrich (left) leads the Tigers in scoring with 11.6 points per game and is second in rebounding with 6.3 boards per contest. She also shot 47.2 percent from the floor.
In her 19th season, Huffman (right) has led the Tigers to a 431-101 record including a 233-31 mark in conference contests including this year's 16-0 record in the first year of NCAC competition. She previously was a two-time Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and earned similar honors seven times in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Joining Aldrich on the first team was sophomore guard Ali Ross. Ross is second on the team with 11.0 points per contest and leads the way with 49 three-pointers and 45.0 percent three-point shooting. She also leads the team with 49 steals and shared the team lead with 92.6 percent free throw shooting.
Junior guard Kate Walker was a second team selection and leads DePauw with 77 assists, while junior forward Ellie Pearson earned honorable mention and is the team's leading rebounder with 8.0 per contest. Pearson has also blocked a team-best 26 shots.
The Tigers are 26-1 on the season and open NCAA Division III Championship play on Friday when they host Westminster (Mo.). DePauw is making its ninth consecutive appearance in the Division III postseason.Back
