Mark Hiemenz '97 Named Women's Soccer Coach at Hastings College

July 25, 2012

Mark J. Hiemenz, a 1997 graduate of DePauw University, has been named the new women's soccer coach at Hastings College in Nebraska. He comes to post, which he'll assume August 1, from Boise State University, where he spent the past five years as assistant soccer coach. Hiemenz spent the previous five years as head soccer coach at Carroll College in Montana.

"While coaching at Carroll College in Montana, Mark proved he can take a fledgling team to the NAIA national tournament," notes Jerry Schmutte, athletic director at Hastings College. "Given that track record and the additional experience he gained at Boise State, an NCAA Division I school, I’m really excited to see what he will do with an established program such as ours."
