Tigers Wrap up Opening Weekend with a Sunday Sweep; Rolwes Named to All-Tourney Team

St. Louis, Mo. - DePauw evened its season record at 2-2 after completing a sweep of its Sunday matches at the Washington-St. Louis Labor Day Classic. The Tigers topped Cornell (Iowa) 3-2 (15-25, 25-22, 19-25, 26-24, 15-10) and then defeated Eureka 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-18).

In the Cornell match, the Tigers trailed 20-13 in the fourth set before rallying to win the set and force a fifth set which they also won. Mary Kate Etling and Hannah Nelson each totaled 15 kills in the win, while Faith Rolwes led with 50 assists and 29 diges. Keely McGrath finished with two service aces and Nelson had six blocks.

Katie Petrovich led DePauw with six kills against Eureka, while Maggie Cochrane had 16 assists and four aces. McGrath finished with a team-high 10 digs, while Emma Peacha, Cochrane and Kreigha Henney each had two blocks.

Rolwes was one of six players named to the all-tournament team.
