Tigers Battle Ninth-Ranked Bears, Fall 4-0

Greencastle, Ind. – The ninth-ranked team in the land, Washington University (Mo.), visited Boswell Field to take on the DePauw Tigers women’s soccer squad and came away with a 4-0 victory. The Bears improved to 5-1, while the Tigers dropped to 0-6.

Bears midfielder Anna Zambricki started the scoring in the 14th minute off of assists from Lillie Toaspern and Rachel Ing. Liz Collins pushed the score to 2-0 in the 39th minute from a pass by Olivia Lillegraven.

Lillegraven wasn’t finished with racking up the points as she once again found an open Bears player, this time Toaspern, who did the rest, making the score 3-0 in the 56th minute of play. Capping of the match scoring was Allie Betley in the 69th minute.

The DePauw women’s soccer team returns to action on Thursday when NCAA Division I IUPUI, visits Boswell Field for a non-conference tussle at 7 p.m.
