DePauw wins Three Singles and a Doubles Title at Bradley Invitational

Peoria, Ill. - Junior Ben Kopecky led the Tigers with two flight titles this weekend as he captured the first singles flight and teamed with junior Sam Miles to win second doubles at the Bradley Invitational.
Kopecky tied for first in the number one singles flight with three match wins, defeating St. Louis University’s Joe Flanagan 7-6(3), 6-0, Bradley’s Juan Diego Cuadrado 4-6, 6-1, 7-6(11-9), and South Dakota State’s Parker Lawley.
Kopecky and Miles tied for first in doubles with three wins. They defeated IUPUI’s Thomas Ganes and Deon Shafer 8-4, St. Louis University’s Miguel Flores and Pat Kella 8-2, and South Dakota State’s Luke Elifson and Parker Lawley 9-7.
Freshman Alec Kaczkowski went undefeated on the weekend, taking the number seven singles flight title. Kaczkowski won matches against South Dakota State’s Luis Duque 6-2, 5-1 (retire), teammates Rico Lumanlan 6-2, 6-2, Nick Makowiecki 6-2, 6-4, and IUPUI’s Armaan Choudry 6-1, 6-1.
Senior David Moss won the number eight singles flight title with three wins. Moss defeated South Dakota State’s Luke Elifson 6-4, 6-2, and IUPUI teammates Jacob Hedderig 0-6, 6-3, 7-6(10-7), and Pat O’Neil 6-3, 6-4.
DePauw returns to action September 21-24 at the ITA Regional Tennis Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.
