DePauw Stays Unbeaten in NCAC with 16th Straight Win

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 16-2 overall and 3-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference following a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-14) win over visiting Ohio Wesleyan. The Battling Bishops dropped to 11-10 overall and 2-3 in the NCAC. The win also was the Tigers' 16th straight which is the second longest in school history.
After winning the first set, the Tigers fell behind in the second but scored the final seven points for the win. In the decisive third set, DePauw never trailed and outscored Ohio Wesleyan 9-1 to finish the match.
Mary Kate Etling paced DePauw with 10 kills, while Faith Rolwes had 29 assists. Keely McGrath's 20 digs paced the team with Lauren Falotico and Brekiesha Weszely each totaling two aces. Rolwes, Hannah Nelson and Etling each had three blocks.
Meigan Day and Megan Weissenberger had eight kills apiece for the Battling Bishops with Brittany Vickers finishing with 19 assists. Weissenberger led the way with 14 digs and Danielle Birney had two aces.
DePauw hosts Kenyon at Noon on Saturday, October 6.
