Musa's First Two Collegiate Goals Lifts DePauw to NCAC Win over Nationally-ranked Battling Bishops

Delaware, Ohio - Alieu Musa's first two collegiate goals including the game winner in the first overtime lifted DePauw to a 3-2 North Coast Athletic Conference win at Ohio Wesleyan.
The Tigers improved to 7-1-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the NCAC, while the Battling Bishops, ranked 13th in the coaches' poll and 15th by D3soccer. com, dropped to 7-2-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the conference.
The teams played through a scoreless first half before the hosts took a 1-0 lead on Colton Bloecher's header from Brian Schaefer at 51:26.
Musa's (pictured) first score followed just seven minutes later on George Elliott's assist. Nate Snyder gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead at 61:03 on Elliott's second assist before Kit North evened the match on a penalty kick at 70:09.
Musa's game-winning score came at 98:21.
Ohio Wesleyan held a 26-17 advantage in shots, but DePauw led 9-6 in shots on goal. DePauw had a 6-5 edge in corners.
Tony Halterman had four saves in the win, while Paul Hendricks had six for the Battling Bishops.
DePauw returns to NCAC action on Wednesday, October 10, when it hosts Wittenberg at 7 p.m.
