DePauw Travels to Wabash for 119th Football Meeting; 81st for Monon Bell Possession

Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw wraps up the 2012 football season when it travels to Crawfordsville for the 119th gridiron clash with Wabash College in the annual Monon Bell game. Kickoff from Hollett Little Giant Stadium is set for 1:07 p.m. on Saturday, November 10.
Gates open at 11 a.m. and all spectators will need to have a ticket to enter. DePauw is selling tickets today and tomorrow from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the department of athletics office in the Lilly Center. Tickets will also be available Saturday at the stadium beginning at 11 a.m. for $15 until the opening kickoff or supplies are exhausted.
DePauw is 2-7 overall and 1-5 in the North Coast Athletic Conference after last Saturday’s 39-20 home loss to Denison.
Wabash, ranked 25th in the latest D3football.com Poll, is 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the NCAC following Saturday’s 31-16 home loss to Oberlin.
Wabash leads the all-time series 56-53-9 and the series is even, 37-37-6, in games played since the Monon Bell entered the rivalry in 1932. Wabash has won the last three meetings, but the schools have split the last four at Wabash.
Saturday’s game also features two of the winningest programs in Division III history as Wabash ranks tied for fifth all-time with 622 wins in 126 seasons, while DePauw is tied for 20th with 546 victories in 125 campaigns.
