Alice Ripley '85 Co-Stars in Off-Broadway's A Civil War Christmas

Alice Ripley, Tony Award-winning actress and singer and member of DePauw University's Class of 1985, co-stars in A Civil War Christmas, which runs through December 30 at the New York Theatre Workshop.

"Paula Vogel’s drama, which is woven with traditional carols, unfolds on a blustery Christmas Eve in 1864," notes the New York Daily News. "Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd (Bob Stillman and Tony winner Alice Ripley) are two characters wishing for peace."

Ripley won a Tony Award for best actress in a musical for her performance in Next to Normal. Last year, she released a compact disc, Daily Practice, Volume One.
