DePauw Ranked Ninth in Latest Division III Poll

December 13, 2012

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw's men moved up five spots to ninth in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division III Team Rankings.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology heads the rankings, while fellow North Coast Athletic Conference competitor Denison is second.

The Tigers are 5-0 in dual meets including a 193.5-86.5 win over 12th-ranked Washington-St. Louis on October 27. DePauw also won its own invitational and turned in an impressive third-place showing at the Indiana Intercollegiate.

In the latest top times listing, all five DePauw relays rank in the top 10 in Division III including the 200 medley relay which is fourth.

The CSCAA Team Rankings are voted on by six CSCAA member coaches and will be released three times during 2012-13 season. The poll is not designed to predict the results of the NCAA Championship, but rather which teams would win head-to-head against other teams in the country.

The complete rankings are available from the CSCAA site.

DePauw returns to competition January 11-12 at the Washington-St. Louis Invitational.
