Statewide TV Program to Examine Impact of Stellar Communities Grant

In the two years since Greencastle received one of Indiana's initial Stellar Communities grants, how has the award contributed to the city's revitalization and enhanced the connections between the community and the DePauw campus? That's one of the questions to be addressed on this week's edition of Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick, as the statewide television program examines the impact of the Stellar Communities program.
The segment will feature interviews with Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray and Audra Blasdel, director of community relations and auxiliary services for DePauw and 2005 graduate of the University.
Also available is a March 10, 2011 story on the community celebration as receipt of the Stellar Communities grant was formally announced as well as a December 2012 article in the Lafayette Journal and Courier.
As Becky Skillman, Indiana's lieutenant governor when the award was made, stated, [Download Video: "Promoting Progress" - 870kb] "We know that Greencastle now will become an even greater economic engine for the entire region. We cannot wait to see what Greencastle will do for Indiana."
