Eighth-ranked DePauw Women Drop Match to 13th-ranked Redlands

Redlands, Calif. - In a battle of nationally-ranked teams, the number-eight DePauw women dropped a 6-3 decision at 13th-ranked Redlands.

The Tigers dropped to 6-3 on the season, while the Bulldogs improved to 12-0.

Redlands grabbed a 2-1 lead after doubles with DePauw's lone win coming at the third spot where Julie Wittwer and Kaitlin Pickrel topped Maddie Morton and Gabriela Vasquez by an 8-2 score.

Maggie MacPhail was a straight sets (6-2, 6-2) winner over Jessica Ly at number-one singles, while Caroline Emhardt rallied for a three-set victory at number-four singles after dropping the first set in a tiebreaker.

The Tigers face third-ranked Williams on Sunday.
