Hallett Slugs Her Way To NCAC Accolade

Amy HallettGreencastle, Ind. – After enduring a non-conference season full of postponements and rain-outs, DePauw senior Amy Hallett was ready to get the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of the schedule underway, leading her team to a 6-0 mark last week in part to her .667 batting average, seven runs, three doubles, five RBI and one home run.

In the six games last week Hallett hit safely in every one, including two three-hit contests. In addition to her 10 hits on the week, Hallett also tallied two walks to put her weekly on base percentage and slugging percentage at .706 and 1.067, respectively.

On the season Hallett is hitting .397, notching nine doubles to go along with a homerun, the 31st round-tripper of her career, a school record.

Hallett is among the program's best in a variety of different categories. Aside from already holding the program’s lead in home runs, Hallett is tied for second in doubles with 44, third in total bases with 306, fourth in RBI (118) and eighth place in hits (165), runs (119) and at-bats (452).

Hallett returns to the field for an NCAC doubleheader against Denison on Tuesday, April 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET in Greencastle, Ind.
