Prof. Eugene Gloria to Present Reading at Cleveland's Museum of Contemporary Art

Eugene Gloria, professor of English at DePauw University and winner of the 2013 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award, will appear at Cleveland's Museum of Contemporary Art on September 11. Gloria will read from his award-winning book of poetry, My Favorite Warlord. The noon event, which is free and open to the public, will also feature Kazim Ali, author of Sky Ward and associate professor of creative writing and comparative literature at Oberlin College.

Eugene Gloria has also authored Hoodlum Birds (2006) and Drivers at the Short-Time Motel (2000). His other honors and awards include a National Poetry Series selection, an Asian American Literary Award, a Fulbright Research Grant, a San Francisco Art Commission grant, a Poetry Society of America award, and a Pushcart Prize. He was appointed the Arts & Sciences Distinguished Visiting Writer at Bowling Green State University for the 2013 spring semester.
