2-0 Loss Against Webster Caps Tough Weekend for Tigers

St. Louis, Mo. - After a tough loss to Washington University (Mo.) on Saturday DePauw battled with Webster University Sunday afternoon falling 2-0 to the Gorloks.  With the loss the Tigers drop to 0-4, while the Gorloks improve to 5-0.

Webster netted their first goal in the 26th minute when Jessica Mess drove home a pass from Lauren Pratt.  Mess’s goal proved to be the game winner.

Mess added a second goal late in the second-half when she scored on a pass from Jenna Hopkins in the 85th minute. 

Despite tying the Gorloks in shots 8-8 the Tigers could not find the back of the net.  Webster held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Tigers return to action Thursday, September 12, when they take on Earlham at Boswell Field.  Game time is set for 7 pm.  Check the DePauw Athletics webpage for live audio and video links.
