Tigers Make it Six Straight with Win over Panthers

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw stepped out of conference play and extended its win streak to six straight after defeating visiting Birmingham-Southern by a 2-1 count on Boswell Field.
The Tigers improved to 6-4, while the Panthers dropped to 3-5.
Megann Lear gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead just 10:37 into the contest with an assist from Elizabeth Seewer, but the Panthers came right back as Amanda Babbin knotted the score at the 14:10 mark.
Seewer delivered the game-winner just 4:13 into the second half on Chloe Jacobs' assist.
DePauw held a 12-11 edge in shots and 8-6 in shots on goal in addition to a 6-4 margin in corners.
Emma Cooper picked up the shutout with five saves for DePauw, while the Panthers; Richelle Byrd totaled totaled six stops.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 5, in a 1 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference match.Back
