Tigers Stay Undefeated, Face #1 Ohio Wesleyan Next Saturday

Wooster, Ohio- The 10th-ranked Tigers stayed perfect in North Coast Athletic Conference play with a 2-0 win over the College of Wooster Saturday afternoon. With the win DePauw improved to 11-0-1 on the season and 2-0-1 in the NCAC, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 2-6-1 on the season and 0-2 in the NCAC.
DePauw gained an early advantage after Wooster’s Matt Parmelee was sent off after receiving his second card of the game. The Tigers capitalized on their advantage when Andy Morrison drove home a goal with 23:26 on the clock.
Morrison’s goal was his 30th career goal putting him in the top 10 in DePauw history. His goal also proved to be the game-winner.
In the second-half the sophomore Adrian Ables and freshman Julian Gonzalez provided DePauw with some insurance as Ables connected on a pass from Gonzalez in the 55th minute.
The Tigers outshot Wooster 11-6 and held a 6-3 edge on corner kicks.
DePauw looks to improve on their undefeated record Saturday, October 12, when they take on #1 Ohio Wesleyan. This NCAC contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Boswell Field.Back
