Coach Adam Cohen '89 is Finalist for 2014 Inspire Award

Adam Cohen, head men's swimming coach at DePauw, part-time coordinator of the University's Center for Spiritual Life and part-time instructor in kinesiology, is a finalist for a 2014 Inspire Award.  Presented by College Mentors for Kids, the Inspire Awards are dedicated to recognizing outstanding mentors in the workplace and community. 

Cohen, who earned a master's degree from DePauw in 1989, is one of five finalists in the "Education & Nonprofit" category.  He was nominated by Kyle Kerrigan. A 2010 DePauw graduate and former captain of the Tiger swim team, Kerrigan is business development manager at Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana.

Winners will be announced on Thursday, February 27, at an awards luncheon at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis. At the event, former U.S. Senator Richard Lugar will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in mentoring.
