Former Tiger Football Assistant Dustin Ward is Offensive Coordinator at VMI

Dustin Ward, an assistant football coach at DePauw University for five seasons, has been named offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Virginia Military Institute (VMI). 

"The former Illinois quarterback was the offensive coordinator at Division II member Concord the past four years," reports the Roanoke Times. "Concord averaged 42.4 points last season, when it advanced to the Division II semifinals."

Ward served as the Tigers' running backs coach during the 2004 season under head coach Bill Lynch and helped DePauw to an 8-2 finish. He then became offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at St. Joseph's College in Indiana, then served as a recruiting assistant at Indiana University before returning to DePauw, where he was offensive coordinator from 2007-10.
