Shelley Hunter '88 is Executive VP of College Mentors for Kids

Shelley M. Hunter, a 1988 graduate of DePauw University, has been appointed executive vice president of College Mentors for Kids. The Indianapolis-based nonprofit has 33 chapters at colleges and universities across Indiana, Arizona, Illinois, Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Maryland, Missouri, and Virginia, including DePauw. CMFK's 2,300 college student volunteers mentor more than 2,000 youngsters.

Hunter, who majored in English literature at DePauw and earned a master’s degree from Indiana University , comes to her new post from Harrison College, where she was vice president for student services. She previously worked the Indiana University Foundation, where she was special giving programs director and liaison to the chancellor of Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI). Hunter also has experience as assistant vice president and community relations manager for Indiana at Bank One, and also worked for the Indiana Sports Corporation.
