Prof. Clarissa Peterson Honored by the National Conference of Black Political Scientists

peterson clarissaClarissa L. Peterson, Frank L. Hall Professor of Political Science and director of Africana Studies at DePauw University, is the recipient of the 2016 Anna Julian Cooper Teacher of the Year Award. Presented by the National Conference of Black Political Scientists (NCOBPS), the honor recognizes Dr. Peterson for her "track record of leadership, mentoring, and excellence in the classroom and beyond."  She is described as "demanding, yet encouraging, by helping students find their own voice in the classroom." 

Peterson was honored at the 2016 NCOBPS Awards Banquet in Jackson, Mississippi.
