Eric Freeman '84 Joins Putnam County Convention and Visitor Bureau

Eric Freeman, a 1984 graduate of DePauw University,  has been appointed contract associate by the Putnam County Convention and Visitor Bureau Inc. For the next year, Freeman will "assist the CVB with developing quality of place initiatives; ultimately producing a destination development plan," reports the Banner-Graphic.

An English (composition) major at DePauw, Freeman earned an M.S. in nonprofit administration from the University of Notre Dame. "He has spent the better part of his career as executive director and manager of many tourism development projects, including Indiana Artisan (a statewide art and food artisan development initiative), the National Maple Syrup Festival and the Indiana 'farm to fork' Dig IN/A Taste of Indiana," notes the newspaper. "He has also served as director of public relations for Hanover College and Conner Prairie."

dp newspaperBoard President Rick Patel says, "The PCCVB is fortunate to have found a tourism professional of Freeman's stature. The county will benefit from his expertise and is looking forward to his recommendations for growing the Putnam County tourism product."
