Kelly Writers Series Presents Poet Ross Gay, Sept. 7

Ross Gay, winner of the 2016 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award for Catalogue of Unabashed Gratitude, will present a reading at DePauw University on Wednesday, September 7. The program, presented by DePauw's James and Marilou Kelly Writers Series, will  begin at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Richard E. Peeler Art Center and is free and open to all.

Gay's poems have appeared in literary journals and magazines including American Poetry Review, Harvard Review, Columbia: A Journal of Poetry and Art and Atlanta Review. His other books include Bringing the Shovel Down, Lace and Pyrite: Letters from Two Gardens and River.

He is a founding editor of online sports magazine Some Call it Ballin and is a founding board member of the Bloomington Community Orchard, a non-profit, free-fruit-for-all food justice and joy project. Gay teaches creative writing at Indiana University.
