November 26, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw University senior Sarah Riffle has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year. It's the second consecutive year the forward -- who was the SCAC's top scorer this year -- has won the award. The honor is the result of voting by the conference's head coaches.
Riffle led the SCAC in points (28) and points per game (1.65) and was tied for the lead in goals scored (12), goals per game (0.71) and game-winning goals (3).
Joining Riffle on the All-SCAC First Team were senior defender Becca Rojek and junior goalkeeper Liz Attewell. Sophomore forward Kimberly Trainor and freshman forward Bridgette Shamleffer each were named honorable mention.
