Violist Amy Brandfonbrener Presents DePauw Recital February 1

Viola.jpgJanuary 26, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Violist Amy Brandfonbrener will perform a guest artist recital at DePauw University on Wednesday, February 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Thompson Recital Hall. This event, which is free and open to the public, will also feature pianist and School of Music faculty member John Clodfelter, as well as viola sonatas by Rebecca Clarke and Johannes Brahms.

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Brandfonbrener received a Bachelor of Music from the Curtis Institute of Music and a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory. She has appeared as a soloist with the Curtis Orchestra, New England Conservatory Orchestra, Boston Mozarteum Orchestra, Amarillo Symphony, and Amarillo Chamber Orchestra.DePauw Logo.jpg Brandfonbrener is presently principal violist with the Northwest Indiana Symphony and the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra.
