Presentation, Performance, and Exhibition Fund
Online Form Deadline: First come, first served pending availability of funds.
Purpose: This fund supports the presentation, performance, exhibition of work, or participation as an officer of the hosting organization of full-time, term and part-time faculty work to the scholarly community beyond DePauw University sponsored by professional organizations and for expenses associated with memberships in professional societies.
Eligibility: see "Faculty Categories and Eligibility for Funding" for eligibility and amount of funding allocated for each category.
Expectations & Rules:
Funding will be made on a first come, first served basis for travel, registration, lodging, and meals ($50 limit per day for meals), and there is no retroactive funding. Faculty members may only claim up to 4 nights stays at conferences. Applications must be submitted for approval of funds before expenses are incurred (at least two weeks prior to the conference). The committee will not consider incomplete applications.
Funds are not to be used for personal interviews or for any other primarily administrative function of a faculty member.
If you are participating in a workshop during a conference at which you are presenting, all of your expenses will come from your three-year Presentation, Performance, and Exhibition Fund. For workshops that are separate from conferences, you may submit a Fisher Professional Development Grant application.
Faculty members may choose to use these funds to pay for professional association and society membership dues/fees.
New tenure-track faculty members may choose to attend one conference without presenting during their first three-year conference cycle.
Reporting Process: Receipts for all expenses (except for meals) and a completed accounting reimbursement voucher worksheet must be submitted to Becky Wallace within four weeks of returning from the conference for reimbursement. Faculty members must submit a copy of the program (prefer link to program) with the receipts in order to be reimbursed for expenses.
Advice: Plan your conferences carefully to make the best use of conference funds. Also remember to submit your application early (before incurring any expenses) since awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
