Athletics and Recreation Facilities Master Plan
A roadmap for DePauw's investments in athletics and recreation facilities. Phase One enhancements include the expansion and renovation of the Lilly Center and improvements to the Athletics Campus.
The Athletics and Recreation Facilities Master Plan – developed with the leading athletics facilities planning firm Hastings+Chivetta and approved by the Board of Trustees in October 2012 – provides a roadmap for ensuring that DePauw’s athletics and recreation facilities provide championship quality training and competition venues for DePauw students, faculty and staff, including the University's 23 varsity athletic teams. The Master Plan will guide investments in the University's indoor and outdoor athletics and recreation facilities.
Phase One of the Master Plan will result in more than $25 million in facility enhancements, including an initial 36,000 square-foot expansion and renovation of the Lilly Center, along with major improvements to the Athletics Campus. Outdoor enhancements include the construction of a multi-sport venue for soccer, lacrosse and field hockey; the installation of synthetic turf at Blackstock Stadium; and the construction of a new venue for throwing events.
Through the support of alumni, parents and friends these plans can become a reality. Now is the time to ensure that DePauw’s athletic and recreation facilities, and its athletic programs generally, match the excellence and aspirations of our University.
