The Facilities Management organization is committed to enhancing our attractive campus, representing DePauw University in a professional manner as we strive to provide quality services in a timely, yet safe environment.
Our organization is responsible for providing the following…
…perform custodial services
…repair and maintain the exterior and interior buildings (including mechanical/electrical systems)
…maintain grounds and landscaping areas
…logistics for special events
…operate and maintain all campus utilities
In addition to Custodial, Operational and Maintenance/Repair activities described above, we manage major Capital projects, for both renovation and new construction, when funded by the University.
Through the efforts of approximately 90 dedicated employees, the department maintains 600 acres of grounds as well as approximately 140 facilities, totaling nearly 2 million square feet of building area utilized daily by 2,400 students and 750 faculty/staff. Also included in our around the clock effort are approximately 2000 trees, 450 pedestrian lights, 10 athletic fields, 6 acres of parking area, and 32 miles of walks and trails.
