Reduce, reuse, recycle, recover...
If you care about waste management, help influence those around you by following the 4 Rs:
Recycling on campus is facilitated through Depauw’s Physical Plant but is largely organized through students interested in improving efforts. Recycling bins can be at any campus facility, by contacting Tony Robertson, Recycling Committee Chair at the Physical Plant, by phone 765-658-4238, or by email trobertson@depauw.edu.
Co-MingledCo-mingled items should always be emptied and, when possible, rinsed out. Lids and paper labels are acceptable, though not preferred. |
Mixed PaperMixed paper items should have no residue from soda, grease, or coffee. By keeping soiled paper out of the bin, you prevent the rest from getting contaminated and improve some of the cleanliness at the recycling center. |
