Claudia Bossard presents piano recital at DePauw

                                   

Claudia Bossard, pianist, will present a recital on Sunday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. in DePauw University’s Performing Arts Center,  Thompson Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.  

Bossard is an active piano soloist and chamber musician who has performed nationally, in Europe and Taiwan. As a clinician, her recent lecture-recitals include “The Ins and Out of Duo Pianism,” “Slavic Piano Music for the Intermediate Student,” and “Day of Reckoning: Piano Competitions from an Adjudicator’s Perspective.”

She adjudicates piano competitions in the Midwest and serves as chair of the Hoosier auditions for the Indiana Music Teachers Association. Since her appointment within the DePauw School of Music faculty in 1994, Bossard has taught piano and music theory.

Bossard holds a Doctor of Music from the University of Miami, Master of Music from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida.
