Taoist Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a gentle Chinese exercise for people of all ages. It develops strength, flexibility, balance and helps relieve stress in a supportive non-competitive environment.  The club meets on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. at First Christian Church (110 S. Indiana Street). No experience, special skills or equipment are required – just comfortable clothes and a willingness to try.

The Greencastle Club is a branch of the International Taoist Tai Chi Society a non-profit charitable organization founded by Master Moy Lin-shin.  Master Moy was a Taoist monk who immigrated to Canada and wanted to make Tai Chi instruction available to every one, to promote the health benefits of Tai Chi and to encourage international cooperation and understanding.  The Society certifies instructors, sponsors classes and runs regional, national and international workshops. The Society’s website is (http://www.taoist.org).
