The Office of Campus Activities sponsors programs for the entire campus community and provides support and leadership development opportunities for recognized student organizations, including student government.

Our Philosophy from the DePauw Student Handbook:
The University recognizes student organizations, fraternities, sororities, academic clubs and other extracurricular activities that encourage a spirit of fellowship, cooperation and individual development. University policies and programs are formulated through a process that allows participation by members of all segments of the DePauw community. Student living units and organizations are regarded as part of the educational environment and are considered important to the intellectual and personal growth of the students.

Advising & Advocacy
At Campus Activities, we respect student-led processes and recognize that student participation in self-governance is a vital learning opportunity. Therefore, we work with DePauw Student Congress to help them govern themselves appropriately. We understand that it is common for new groups to be formed each year and for others to become inactive; therefore, we invite students interested in organizing a new club to visit our offices for first steps. Constitutions and bylaws of proposed student organizations must be approved by Student Congress. Student organization that have been recognized by DePauw Student Congress are eligible to apply for funding from the Student Organizations Fund.
The fund, administered by Student Congress Allocations Board, operates without liability to DePauw University in order to provide continuity of financial records and a standard accounting procedure for student organizations.
