Counseling Staff

Ethan Bliss, Ph.D., LMHC, ethanbliss@depauw.edu, Interim Director of Counseling & Health Services. Ethan finished his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami (Florida) in 2009. He also earned a Masters in Community Counseling from St. Mary's University (Texas) in 2000. Ethan focuses on helping students meet their goals of health and well being. His counseling style emphasizes exploration, acceptance and positive changes. Ethan's professional interests include health psychology, social justice and counseling processes.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and woodworking.

 

Quamina Carter, M.S., quaminacarter@depauw.edu, Counselor, Addictions Specialist. Quamina has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tuskegee University and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Martin University.  Quamina has studied alternative treatments for addiction in Vancouver, BC and China.  Quamina’s personal interests include traveling and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

Kim Grande, M.A., LMFT, kimgrande@depauw.edu, Clinical Counselor / Eating Disorder Specialist. Kim joined the DePauw Wellness Team in April of 2009. She came from the heat of Las Vegas, Nevada for a milder climate and the natural beauty of Central Indiana. She holds a BS in Psychology and a Masters degree from ASU in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a focus in Medical Family Therapy / Collaborative Family Healthcare. She has experience in University Counseling Centers, as well as Employee Assistance Programs in Cooperate and Organizational settings, Community Mental Health, behavioral consultation and presentations to many large scale organizations from insurance agencies to casinos to academic faculty and staff. Clinical interests & experience include disordered eating, depression, anxiety, family and couples therapy, gender identity, gay & lesbian issues, and substance abuse prevention and/or treatment. Kim is passionate about bringing to light and developing one's personal strengths as part of the therapy process. Personal interests include spending time outdoors with friends and family, skiing, hiking and traveling.

Becca Gaines, B.A., rgaines@depauw.edu, Intern Counselor. Becca is an intern here at the DePauw Wellness Center while finishing her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Indiana State University. She graduated from DePauw University with a degree in Communications and Psychology and is very excited to be in an environment working with people from all types of backgrounds. She is dedicated to helping and understanding each individual. Personal interests include music, sports, and anything outdoors with friends.

 

 

 

Cheryl Zoll, czoll@depauw.edu, Senior Receptionist. Cheryl received her medical terminology certification from Bluffton Regional Hospital in 1988 where she worked as medical transcriptionist.  After relocating to Greencastle in 1989 she worked as receptionist/transcriptionist at a local physician's office for several years.  She joined the DePauw University staff in 1997 in the Instructional Media Services Dept, followed by the Information Services Help Desk, and finally as receptionist for the Wellness Center.  Cheryl also currently works part-time for St. Vincent Physician Network where she does medical coding and posting of charges since 2004.  Personal interests include being involved with her three children, motorcycle riding and tennis.

phyllis Phyllis Neumann, phyllisneumann@depauw.edu, Receptionist. Phyllis joined the Wellness Center staff shortly after our move in the fall of 2005. She had 5 years of experience working in an insurance office prior to coming to DePauw. Phyllis assists students at the Wellness Center reception desk.
