New Member Education Policies

The guidelines for New Member Education can be found through the following link: http://www.depauw.edu/student/greek/NMEdGuidelines.asp . However, the following information also applies to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life’s policies on New Member Education:

Before New Member Education begins, each new member educator within a chapter must attend the training sessions that are sponsored by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Training sessions will take place at the beginning and/or end of each academic semester. Exceptions to this policy can include but are not limited to the following: class conflict, death in the family, and sickness. The absence will only be approved when documentation regarding the absence from the training session is submitted to the GLC in charge of New Member Education. If a training session is not offered before you would like to conduct new member education, an individual training session can take place between the GLC responsible for New Member Education and the new member educators.

These policies and procedures are applicable to all New Member Education periods including but not limited to COB, Open recruitment, and Fall recruitment.
