Welcome Letter From Panhellenic

Dear Potential New Members,

Welcome to DePauw Panhellenic Recruitment! DePauw University has a rich history of fraternity and sorority life, which we encourage you to explore. Not only does membership in a sorority provide many social opportunities and very nice living arrangements, but also opportunities for leadership, campus involvement, athletics, and especially academic involvement.

There area several ways to get to know the Greek community. The main avenue for information are the Recruitment Guides, or Rho Gammas, who are women who choose to disaffiliate from their chapter in order to become neutral counselors to the women who wish to take part in Recruitment. Rho Gammas are assigned to each floor of the Residence Halls. The Rho Gammas assigned to your Residence Hall can be found at the information page for First-Year students. Rho Gammas will hold regular meetings in order to help facilitate the recruitment process.
Besides the excellent recourses of the Rho Gammas, there are a number of events that are held around campus that provide an opportunity to interact with women who are already members of a chapter. These events included Greek Week, which occurs between September 22-26, as well as Recruitment 101 which will take place October 1st.

For more specific information regarding the finer points of recruitment I would encourage you to contact your Rho Gamma and ask questions. However, please feel free to contact me, the Panhellenic Council, or the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life with any questions you might have. We encourage you to explore the options available on campus and would love to have you participate in Recruitment at the beginning of second semester!
