Services Offered

The Student Health Service provides a variety of primary health care services. Specialty health care is provided by local and Indianapolis-based medical and surgical specialists. Hospitalization can be provided at our local hospital or an Indianapolis area hospital, if indicated.

Services Covered by Health Fee:

  • Routine office visits
  • Wellness assessments
  • Allergy shots (student provides own serum)
  • Laboratory tests totaling less than $20 per visit
  • Wart removal
  • Crutches
  • Sharps containers for diabetics
  • Flu Shots
  • HIV testing (confidential)
  • Sexual Assault Services
  • Condoms
  • STD treatment
  • Women's Health Services:
    1. Pap smears
    2. STD testing
    3. Breast exams
    4. Pregnancy testing

Services Not Covered by Health Fee:

  • Lab test exceeding $20 per visit
  • Any lab test ordered by physician other than campus physician
  • Birth Control
  • Plan B (emergency contraception)
  • Immunizations
  • X-rays (performed in office)
  • Diagnostic testing (e.g. CT scan, MRI, ultrasound)
  • Referrals to other specialists
  • Hospitalization charges
  • Emergency room expenses
