Our Services

Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Keys Our office issues and tracks the keys to all rooms, apartments, and houses. Lost or stolen keys should be reported to the Residence Life and Housing Office or Public Safety immediately. A lock change will be preformed and new keys issued. The resident who lost the key will be charged for the lock change.

Lock Outs During office hours, residents who lock themselves out of their rooms should go to the Residence Life and Housing office to borrow a temporary key. A temporary key may be used for no more than a 24-hour period. After 24 hours, a lock change will automatically take place at the resident’s expense. Lock changes cost $35. After the Residence Life and Housing office closes, residents who are locked out of their room should contact Public Safety at x4261 to contact the RA on duty. Residents will be charged $5 each time (after the first) an RA or other staff member has to let them into their rooms.

Information Services

Computer Labs All residence halls have printer labs located in common areas of the halls for student use. Technical support and assistance to these labs is provided by the Help Desk of Information Services. For concerns or repairs, contact the Help Desk directly.

Network Access All living units have network outlets in the room to allow access to the DePauw data network and the Internet. Data jacks will be orange or white in color. Problems with internet or network access should be reported to Help Desk.

Sodexho Dining Services

Dining Facilities There are three dining facilities on campus operated by Sodexho. The Hub Food Court is located in the Memorial Student Union Building. The Hub Food Court is open late and serves a variety of meal options. The Den is located on the ground level of Longden Hall. The Den serves lunch, dinner, and late night food. The Duck serves food restaurant style and is located in the Student Social Space.

ID/One Card Office

ID Cards Each student’s ID card provides access to the residence hall in which they live and is also used for the University meal plan. Replacement ID cards can be obtained from Campus ID during it’s regular hours. Lost or stolen IDs should be reported to Public Safety immediately to ensure the safety of your meal plan and your residence hall.

Meal Plan DePauw University requires that all students living in the residence halls participate in the University dining contract. Rector Village residents have the opportunity to elect a reduced meal plan. Students who live in University-owned apartments and houses do not have to participate in this contract. The dining contract consists of an all-point plan spending allowance referred to as “DU Points.” The plan provides students with the flexibility to purchase meals or snacks at any dining service location whenever they choose. DU Points may be used in the Student Union Hub Food Court, the Longden Dining Hall, or The Duck. The ID/One Card Office is the administrator of the meal plans.

Laundry Facilities Laundry rooms with coin/swipe card-operated washers and dryers are located in Bishop Roberts, Bloomington Street, College Street, Hogate, Humbert, Lucy Rowland, Mason, and Senior Halls. Buildings in Rector Village with laundry facilities are: Chabraja, Leis, Montgomery, Reese and Warne Halls. Residents of Holmberg and Strasma Halls will have access to the laundry facilities on the first floor of Reese Hall. Students residing in some apartments and houses will have access to non-coin operated washers and dryers in many of the units. Those without this access can opt to have access to another campus facility. Each resident of a house or apartment with a washer and dryer will be charged $75 per semester for laundry use. DePauw University is not responsible for damages to or loss of clothes in the laundry rooms. Costs from damage done to the laundry facilities will be assessed to the residents of the appropriate group of students. Problems with the laundry rooms should be reported to the ID/One Card Office.
