Student Staff

Resident Assistants (RA) Resident Assistants work with first year and mixed class communities in the residence halls to build communities that are inclusive of all students. RAs develop activities and events and facilitate regular interaction among residents on the floor and within the hall. Additionally, they hold community meetings to share information with residents and to discuss any concerns affecting the floor. RAs are readily available to students and serve as tremendous resources. Students can freely go to their resident assistants to seek guidance on issues they face, receive assistance during emergency situations, or find a friendly person to listen to their concerns.

Community Assistants (CA) Community Assistants work with the upperclass communities in the residence halls to build communities that are inclusive of all students. CAs are also readily available to students and serve as tremendous resources. Students can freely go to their community assistants to seek guidance on issues they face, receive assistance during emergency situations, or find a friendly person to listen to their concerns.

Apartment Managers (AM) Apartment Managers assist residents in the University-owned apartments and houses and Rector Village by serving as the primary resource and direct contact person. They are available to answer questions, provide information, give guidance, and perform logistical duties. They are able to help and appropriately refer students with facility-, policy-, or community-related concerns.

Housing Assistants (HA) Housing Assistants assist in the communications and operations related to all of our housing in residence halls, Rector Village, and UOAH. They do not work directly with a communities, but with the administrative portion of the work we do.

Work-study Students Our work-study students are an important part of our team. They support our front desk operations, help with larger projects and initiatives, and assist woth programming and publicity.

Professional Staff

Directors of Residence Life and Housing Our directors coordinate the operations of our office, from RA training and selection to housing lottery. They work to guide the work of our team to ensure strong communication and effective student support.

Residence Life Coordinators (RLC) The Residence Life Coordinators are staff members who are easily accessible since they live and work within the residence halls and neighborhoods. The RLCs work with the RAs, CAs, AMs, and students to respond to student needs, assist with emergencies, and help to create positive living environments.

Support Staff Our support staff are the front lines of our office, directing calls, managing operations and projects, and communicating with students and parents on a daily basis.
