The mission of the DePauw Public Safety Department is to ensure a safe environment in which all members of the campus community can work, learn and live. While the campus has a relatively low crime rate, we are not immune to many of the same crime problems encountered in today's society. Of primary concern are your personal safety and the security of your belongings while you are a member of the community. To achieve such a goal, we need your assistance. Everyone must share equal responsibility for the safety and security of themselves, their neighbors and their belongings. Part of that responsibility is reporting emergencies and crimes that occur on campus to the Public Safety Department. The DePauw Public Safety Department, working closely with the Greencastle Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies, will promptly investigate all reports.
