Faculty and Staff Cell Phone Notification Request

DePauw Public Safety and the Emergency Management Offices are transitioning from "JYNGLE," our previous Emergency Text Message Notification system, to a reverse 911 system. The reverse 911 system is administered through the Putnam County Emergency Operations Center (911 Center). Text Messages are only one method of notification, to learn more about Emergency Notification, including situations that may produce an emergency notification, please click here.

We will be collecting data for the new text message notification in three ways:

  1. Student local numbers are collected through their verification form on e-services, the majority of which are their cell phone numbers.
  2. We will provide a listing of all University land line phone numbers to receive voice messages. This will include office phones, common area phones in residence halls, etc.
  3. We are providing an opportunity for employees to enter a cell phone number to receive text messages. Text Messages can only be sent if a phone number is associated with a text enabled cell phone. Standard fees apply. To have your number included, please fill out the form below and hit submit. Any changes to information submitted should be emailed to police@depauw.edu.

The 911 Center also has a community reverse 911 for those employees that live within Putnam County. You may sign up to receive emergency notification at your home address, click here for more information. You may sign up for both the community notification and this campus specific notification. Signing up for one does not automatically sign you up for both, please do each process separately.

Before submitting you should read and accept the terms and conditions:
