Faculty, Staff and Visitor Parking Regulations

Faculty and Staff are to register their vehicles in the University Public Safety Office located in the Union Building at 408 S. Locust Street - Suite #200.

You may register by visiting the office Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., or via e-mail to police@depauw.edu. We will need information about the make, model, color of your vehicle and the license plate number including state and year of issue. Please include your department name, campus phone number and home phone number.

There is no cost for faculty, staff and visitor permits. We only require that they be displayed in the left or driver's side corner of the rear windshield. Faculty & staff permits are only valid when used by DePauw employees.

Faculty and Staff  may park in any University lot or along adjacent streets.  Parking is prohibited in fire lanes, service drives, yellow curbs or reserved/posted spaces (ie: posted areas with Visitor Only signs or Service Vehicles Only) 

We ask that you encourage longer term visitors to also visit our office and obtain a Temporary Parking Permit. Service Permits are available for vendors, delivery and service personnel.

In the event you are hosting a group of visitors, please contact our office in advance so we may provide convenient parking arrangements.

Parking fines are:

      Failure to Register/No Valid Permit $25
      Yellow Curb/Hashed AreaViolation $25
      Improper Parking Violations $25
      Fradulent Use of a Ticket $50
      Handicapped Violation (Street or Lot) $50

Fines are payable at the Cash Receipts Office located in the Administration Building.
